ABOUT TGC

Established in 1980 by Barry M. Goodman, JD – Founder and Former President of Houston METRO – The Goodman Corporation (TGC) is a Texas-based professional service firm with a wide range of planning and engineering expertise, project management experience, and unique understanding of the governmental processes for funding and implementing priority projects.

Our mission is to connect capital to communities through holistic and innovative planning, engineering, and funding approaches, using benefit-cost analysis, environmental justice, and equity analysis as key components of our process. Our multi-faceted team is a one-stop shop for your project from conceptual design to ribbon cutting, regardless of the institutional, political, or technical challenges blocking your way.

Since 1980, we have successfully secured over $1.6B in funding for our client base and completed over $3B in projects, providing benefit to the communities in which we live, work and play. Our portfolio includes a variety of redevelopment, reconstruction, and revitalization projects for a diverse collection of urban, suburban, and rural clients, and our engineering staff brings significant experience in engineering planning and design, project and program management, federal compliance, and construction management and administration.

Innovation and feasibility are included in every solution we bring to the table. A continuous forum for creative solutions, TGC’s body of work is a testament to the proposition that creativity, tenacity, and dedication are the ingredients of success.

Our History

Barry has always said finding the money is the easy part. Achieving consensus is the difficult part. The persistence is what keeps the discussion active and keeps bringing new ideas to the debate until consensus can be reached.
