TGC provided a third party review of several years of existing environmental documentation for the site at 6501 Navigation Boulevard with an emphasis on meeting National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements and successfully receiving funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Urban Partnership Community Development Corporation.
Documents reviewed included a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and additional City of Houston and state regulatory data. TGC also coordinated with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to determine the most up-to-date status of the site.
TGC provided a memo reviewing the status of the site, most notably its application with the City of Houston for a Municipal Settings Designation (MSD), and provided an opinion on the viability of a positive NEPA determination, and additional work necessary to meet NEPA hazardous materials requirements.
TGC was given a two week time frame to complete the project. Due to client deadlines, a memo was completed in two days and when new information was received from the City of Houston regarding the status of the MSD, and updated final version of the memo was provided a week prior to the timeline established in the scope of work.
