TGC managed the execution of a piggyback order which focused on procurement of seven CNG buses to meet the unique needs and demands of a transit circulator service in downtown Houston. TGC outlined the terms of the procurement to produce the best results from vehicle manufacturers to deliver the desired product available in the shortest timeframe possible to meet expectations of system operability in 2012. Procurement activities included oversight of the vehicle production, testing, aftermarket treatments and delivery.
TGC also developed the RFP for a partial turnkey operation of the GREENLINK service and ran the proposal solicitation process. The RFP addressed issues related to drivers, fueling, vehicle storage, maintenance, safety compliances, FTA compliances and other issues. TGC assisted the District in contracting with selected operator. Upon vehicle delivery of the vehicles, TGC worked with the operator on planning service startup including coordination with District and Partners.
